For a study break, I made my patient this c. diff voo doo doll. This poor patient has had the worst c. diff infection I've seen thus far, in terms of length and unconquerability. I've had it on my mind to make for a while, but I've been so busy! I hope this patient finds it as amusing as I do. I think she's funny.

Breakfast for Dinner
Nick picked fresh blueberries with his brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew last weekend while I attended my MOH's bridal shower. After studying all day for my certification exam that's in a week, I wasn't feeling like putting too much effort into going to the grocery store. I used the fresh blueberries that Nick picked in pancakes, and, along with scrambled eggs and apple sausages, we had breakfast for dinner.

Incredible Wedding
We had the most moving wedding, full of a palpable love from our family and friends. My honey and I were married at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and had a fabulous wedding reception at the Defoor Center. We are just coming home from our honeymoon, opening our cards and gifts, and falling back into a more normal life. I find myself going through the pictures from our wedding that one of my bridesmaids posted at least once a day, reliving each caring moment of bliss and joy created by us and the ones we love.
Defoor Centre, our reception venue was the most wonderful place imaginable. Michelle, the event coordinator, was so easy to work with. We connected on our first meeting, and she helped us with everything from that moment on. I remember telling her she made "this whole wedding planning thing too easy." Michelle helped me through a few centerpiece ideas, color schemes, layouts, time lines, food, beverages. All of our food was GF- we even had scrumptious GF rolls. Our food was incredibly good. Michelle ordered Brugal (the family fav Dominican rum) for us. My aunt with a garlic allergy was well accommodated. Each member of the staff was kind, attentive, and fun. Roxanne, the woman who served Nick, myself, and our family not only made sure we were well fed and cared for. She came out onto the dance floor and danced with us. Roxanne even made sure one of my bridesmaids had an ice pack for her sprained ankle and was not left without a friend while she iced. I made sure to thank them for all of their work, but I really want to go give each one of them a giant hug for all of the work that went into our amazing day.
